Civil

One (1) Civil Deputy whose primary duties are to serve civil processes and conduct monthly registration verification checks on all sex offenders registered in the unincorporated areas of Milam County.  In 2018 the Milam County Sheriff's Office received 289 sets of civil processes to serve throughout the county from various law firms and government agencies.  

Along with the numerous papers to serve and over 65 sex offenders to keep up with, this deputy also assists in taking calls for service when patrol deputies are unavailable or tied up on other calls.
