Welcome to the Milam County Sheriff’s Office website!

The Sheriff’s Office maintains a force of fifteen patrol deputies and investigators.  Deputies are available 24 hours a day seven days a week to respond to service-calls, emergencies, traffic complaints, and criminal activities.  My staff and I take a proactive approach to keeping our citizens safe and utilize advancements in technology to make our efforts more successful and efficient.

I hope that some of the functions on this website will assist you in obtaining information you may need or would be interested in viewing.  The Jail Roster will update automatically through our RMS programming, however the Crime Tracking will be updated as we can, to try and give as accurate a picture as possible of our county.  Milam County is a centrally located Texas county of approximately 1,020 square miles, with just over 24,000 residents.  Functions of the Sheriff’s Office are not limited to crime fighting, but also to keeping of the County Jail.  The Milam County Jail consists of 160 beds, housing on average between 135 and 150 inmates.  Jail staff and Transport Deputies maintain the safety and security of the inmates 24 hours a day 365 days a year.  Jail staff personnel are seldom noticed due to being behind locked doors all day and night, but they are working hard and diligently to keep Milam County safe by keeping those criminals behind bars.

I would love to hear from you, so please feel free to contact me via this website, or email at mclore@milamcounty.net.  Additionally,  feel free to speak to any of my personnel with regard to making the Sheriff’s Office a better department to serve you.  I take any complaints from the public seriously but would also love to hear from you if we are doing something good or have made a difference in yours or someone else’s life.

We are dedicated to serving you, The People, and we vow to uphold your rights and freedoms, equally, as guaranteed by the Constitution of both the United States of America and of this great State of Texas.

Thank You and God Bless,

Sheriff Mike Clore
